Welcome!

This little blog started on our wedding website, which kept family and friends up to date on the planning and details. Of course this is where we will provide all of the recaps of the wedding and everything after. We look forward to keeping family and friends up to date on our lives here in Texas and all of the adventures we share as newlyweds!

Great Finds-Dining Out!

After spending the weekend with friends in Georgia for a sorority sister's bachelorette party and talking to everyone about their favorite sites to save money on dinners out and clothes I decided that I would post some of my favorite sites!

First off as a friend Krys pointed out there are tons of goodies online to save money for dining out! So I wanted to point out 3 of my fave finds for dining out!

First the money savers!

My favorites are Groupon and Restaurant.com. Which offer great half priced gift certificates for local dining places. While Groupon only has 1 offer per day, Restaurant.com has a set number of gift cards for each location...

And now the time saver!

Along with those 2 Open Table offers a great way to make online reservations and earn points for each time you dine out which can lead to coupons to save money on those places listed on Open Table!

That's all for now on my fave finds for dining out!

Flower Pots for Baby....

OK first thing is first, there are no babies on the way at the Blanco house so don't get the wrong idea. However there were 2 babies arriving here in the office, so I decided to put together some cute little flowering pots.

I had seen these in a magazine while I was flipping through a while back. Here they are Baby Bunch Bouquet

While you can purchase them for over $50 online I figured I would give it a whirl. Dowel rods, baby clothes, some silk flowers, and rubber bands is all it took!
Each potted plant is made of onesies, socks, hats, bibs, and also burp cloths and didn't they turn out adorable!!

The Graduate

We could not be more proud of little Stitch!

Yesterday he graduated from puppy training class. A star pupil if I do say so myself (but I may be biased).

The next challenge is that we have decided we are going to start doing agility training with him after watching the Purina Challenge on ESPN yesterday....

Looking forward to March

Well not only am I looking forward to the eventual arrival of spring time weather--here's hoping it actually comes around but apparently the stars will align and my month should shape up quite nicely... I am not one to follow horoscopes or read the stars by any means, but it does seem to make my outlook a bit more positive when the monthly run down looks like this..

Capricorn: March Monthly Outlook

You feel like you are totally focused on work on the 1st. So why do you feel like nothing is happening? Well, don't worry. Sometimes your total focus is what's demanded by the situation, but the situation still takes its sweet time to shift direction. Don't worry: Things will change. You're feeling nicely detached, when it comes to making a big decision on the 5th. Great! You can make the most objective possible choice. Just don't forget to check in with your heart, too, before you sign along the dotted line. What could be better on the 8th? Just about nothing! You are having a great couple of days, continuing into the very lovely 9th and 10th. Nope, there's no place you'd rather be right now. You feel good, spiritually, physically and intellectually on the 14th and 15th. You need to prune away all the extraneous elements in order to get to the heart of the matter on the 20th. So get out those intellectual garden shears. The 25th could see some business problems crop up. Focus on work, again, on the 30th -- whether or not it works, right away.

So here is looking forward to a warmer and more productive March!
