Looking forward to the Weekend

Rene has been working late nights (think somwhere between 1am and 2:30am) so it will be a nice weekend of relaxing!

First up we will be heading to Grapevine Saturday for the Hallo-Wine Trail we start out at 11am and take a tour of 5 of the local wineries and vineyards til about 5pm.

Followed up by Saturday at the football game -- Rene's very first in season pro football game! And it will be our very first visit to the new stadium.

Time to go out and buy some Cowboys gear!





While I am a Steelers fan through and through we couldn't pass up the fact that since Dallas has well...not been doing so great and Tony Romo is out this weekend the originally priced upper level tickets were drastically marked down by a season ticket holder to just $17!

No Puppy Party :(

It makes me sad to have to write this post because we were not able to have Stitch's birthday Paw-ty this past weekend...

We had a death in the family so Rene, Stich and I traveled up to Ohio last week. We were gone for the past week so as you can imagine we are trying to catch up with everything....school and work are pretty much taking up my life right now, and Rene of course is working until after midnight....

While it was nice to see family its always sad when the reason for everyone being together is one of a sad nature.

I promise to post some of the pictures of our adventure up north though (photos taken from the car so not really great) and of Stitch's first road trip!

I've been a bad blogger...

I must admit that I have dropped the ball a bit recently with my posts. I have been swamped between school and work and Rene has been working late hours so I haven't had much time to post.

I promise that I will make sure to keep up better especially with the next few weekends I promise lots of pictures...we have Race for the Cure this Saturday, Stitch's birthday party the following weekend then Halloween and a trip to the vineyards for a wine trail! Of course pending that Rene isn't in the office any of these Saturdays!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in case you didn't know!

Spread the word, donate, get involved!

There are a ton of ways to raise awareness through Twitter, Facebook, Blogs,ect.

Facts to Know!

• Breast Cancer Suvivors are Counting at 2.5 Million Strong!
• Positive trends in Breast Cancer Research are decreases in incidence & mortality rates for all women.
• A woman has a little less than 1 in 8 or 12% chance of developing invasive breast cancer.
• The greatest risk factors for breast cancer are gender (female) & age (older).
  
  

There is HOPE in the fight against breast cancer but we must do more. Encourage all
women over age 40 in your life to get a mammogram every year.

Where is the year going?

I must admit that I am having a bit of a problem realizing that today is the 4th of October....where has the year gone? In a little more than a month now ( 36 days to be exact) Rene and I will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary, Stitch will be 1 year old in 16 days and believe it or not Christmas is only 82 days!
